Guru Sutapa talukdar and Gurukul is committed in bringing about positive changes in the lives of under privileged children. To achieve this, the academy has been regularly holding classes, guiding these children to become not only good dancers but also empowering them to earn their own livelihood through dance. The children are also groomed in the peripheries of dance, such as make up, light design and costume. In addition, life skills and health and hygiene also form part of the grooming schedule. The aim is to mould these children into individuals who are not only adept in performing arts but also turn out to be competent human beings, at par with other community members.
